What Are We Doing?

Over the next few months, **you—our BYAC Trainees—**will be part of something powerful.

We’re teaming up with Learning Upgrade, a digital platform that helps you build real-world skills—skills you’ll need not just for a job, but for life. From reading and writing to teamwork, communication, and problem solving, this is literacy in action.

But this isn’t just about watching videos or answering questions. This is project-based learning with a purpose.

We’ll use the Learning Upgrade Work Life Skills course to strengthen your ability to:

• Communicate clearly
• Work with others
• Think creatively
• Solve real problems
• Understand and use numbers
• Show up as your best, most confident self

All while growing your literacy in new ways—digital, financial, numerical, and social.

💡 The Big Challenge

Now here’s where it gets exciting:

You’ll use your new skills to design and build replica models—in science and geography—that can help students with visual impairments.

That means:

🧠 Using what you learn in the course
🛠️ Working in teams
📏 Building something real
💙 Making it inclusive for those who can’t see like you do

This is learning with purpose. Your work can help other students experience the world in ways they’ve never had access to before.
