As Barbados celebrates 60 years of Independence and five years as a Republic, NTI is inviting Barbadians to be part of a CitizenShift! By completing NTI's Citizenship course, you'll explore your values, rights and responsibilities as a Bajan while embracing the spirit of lifelong learning that we want to see grow across our nation. To make the journey even more rewarding, complete the course between November 1st and 22nd and five of you will have a chance to win vouchers for exciting cultural experiences.

NTI's flagship Citizenship course helps Barbadians build confidence, develop valuable life skills, and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be Bajan.
Through five themes, you'll explore:
The values that shape our character and guide our choices.
Building stronger relationships at home, at work and in our communities.
Recognising your strengths and building skills to achieve your goals.
Learning to collaborate and work effectively with others.
Understanding what it means to be Bajan and your role in shaping our nation's future.
We get it! Life gets busy, but the good news is that NTI's Citizenship course is completely online, so you can learn at your own pace, whenever and wherever works for you. The course takes approximately 13 hours to complete, and you have from 1st until 22nd November 2026 to finish. Start early, set aside a little time each day, and you'll finish well before the deadline, and even in time to qualify for the earlier prizes. Remember, the earlier you complete the course, the more chances you have to win!
When you sign up with NTI, you'll register using your name and email address. The registration process can take up to 24 hours. Once registered, you can begin the Citizenship course. After successfully completing the course, you'll receive a downloadable certificate. The NTI team will be able to verify your completion through our records, including the name and email address associated with your certificate.
Winners will be selected randomly from eligible learners who complete the Citizenship course during the campaign period, 1–22 November 2026. Names will be entered into a virtual spin-the-wheel draw, with five lucky winners selected across three weekly draws. Winners will be announced on these days:
